Attack on Titan Cosplay
In June 2013, when Shingeki No Kyojin aka Attack on Titan was still on its first few anime episodes (no movie yet), Paul San Diego, a very passionate cosplayer who I meet in one convention, commissioned me to immortalize their cosplay with a photoshoot. Paul was to be Eren Jaeger. Stein Vivero from Bacolod shall play the role of Jean Kirschtein. Since I was into the series and I know the characters’ demeanor, I was confident that I can give justice to their efforts.
Permits were secured and we did the shoot beside the church with the infamous Bamboo Organ in Las Piñas. It was scorching hot that day and I got sun burnt because we were shooting at high noon. For passion. LOL.
The team of Cykah Malagad and Erlinda Punto did the 3D Maneuver Gear (3DMG) and costumes.
One of these shots made it on print in one cosplay photobook that same year (the one with Paul standing behind a wall).
The color treatment, lighting, and over-all feel of all the images had been made to closely resemble the renders of the anime.
